Sundsvall Gymnasium/Västermalm is an attractive and centrally located school. Here, there are vocational and university preparatory programs, special needs education, and individual alternatives. There are approximately 1,500 students and 240 employees.

JOB DESCRIPTION

You will work as a vocational teacher and teach the courses conducted by students primarily in the transport direction. We have a close collaboration with adult education, so teaching that student group may also be included.

You will belong to the Vehicle and Transport Program and be involved in the development work of the program and work based on the school's governing documents and the directives of the Swedish Transport Agency and the Transport Workers' Union's Occupational and Work Environment Committee (TYA).

You will work in a team, take responsibility, and want to drive the teaching forward.

You will have overall responsibility for your mentees' study situation and development.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with relevant vocational education and is a qualified teacher, preferably a driving examiner. You should have current and rich work experience that is documented. You should have the desire to work with an entrepreneurial approach.

Preferably, you are an instructor for forklifts, wheel loaders, and vehicle-mounted cranes.

You should have the willingness and ability to be part of a dynamic working method with a focus on methods and with the student's development and needs as the primary goal. You are interested in outreach work and have an easy time establishing contacts, as you will work with various professional groups within the school.

You should be able and willing to actively work for increased collaboration both within the program and with external stakeholders.
